Mesh Banner FAQ

What is mesh banner material? Mesh banners are made from the same material as vinyl banners, except mesh banners have openings evenly spread throughout the material that allow wind to blow through. The most common is 70/30 mesh, which means that 30% of the surface area is open, thus allowing 30% of wind to blow through. There is also a 50/50 mesh, which allows even more wind to pass through, but at a cost of imagine quality. 50/50 mesh banners are only recommended if the viewing distance is more than 25ft. If your banner is going to be outside in a windy area, you should consider a mesh banner over a vinyl banner for longevity purposes.

How do I install my mesh banner? Most banners are installed with zip ties, rope, or screws & washers. If you need a recommendation on how to install your banner, send a picture of the site to sales@bigmediaprinting.com and we will advise on the best way to put your banner up.

What is webbing? Webbing looks and feels like a cloth belt. It is thick, rugged, and we sew it into the edges of your mesh banner (if the option is selected) which makes it super resistant to wind and wear. Webbing is recommend for high wind conditions and to maximize the longevity of your banner.

What are grommets? Grommets are those metal rings that are punched around the parameter of your banner. These are for installing the banner, as you can run zip ties or rope through them. They are included free of charge if you choose the option of having them.

Can you help design my mesh banner? Basic layouts are offered free of charge, creative work is $60 per art file and includes a first draft along with two revisions. Contact sales@bigmediaprinting.com for help with your print design.
